THE DEFENSE LABS

ABOUT

Defense Labs is a four-week immersive training designed to help women move beyond awareness and begin building genuine capability.

We’ll teach our proprietary four stages of violence—Selection, Approach, Control, and Survival—you'll learn how to recognize danger early, set clear boundaries, manage fear under pressure, and develop practical physical skills for real-world situations.

Our Process

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    Stage 1: Understand Selection

    Violence begins before contact.

Observe: Understand your surroundings, exits, obstacles, and opportunities.

Recognise: Behaviors, patterns, and signals that often precede violence.

Trust: Develop confidence in your intuition and ability to identify potential threats.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    STage 2: Unwanted contact

    The moment something feels wrong.

Proximity: Understand personal space, encroachment, and intent.

Boundaries: Use your voice early, clearly, and without apology.

Position: Create distance, maintain your frame, and leave safely.

    Stage 3: Controlling contact

When someone attempts to influence your autonomy.

Understand: Common methods of control: grabs, holds, and restraints.

Escape: Learn how to strategize escape routes, become relentless.

Create Space: Break control long enough to get away and seek safety.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.

    Stage 4: Violent contact

When avoidance is not a possibility.

Stay Present: Understand freeze, stress, and adrenaline responses.

Fight Back: Simple physical skills to create opportunity and disrupt control.

Escape: The objective is not to win. The objective is to survive and get away.

If not now, when?

There will always be a reason to wait.

A busy calendar. Work commitments. Family obligations. Travel plans. Uncertainty about trying something new.

There is rarely a perfect time to invest in yourself. The women who build confidence, capability, and resilience aren't the ones who find the perfect moment, they're the ones who decide that their growth matters enough to begin anyway.

If this work speaks to you, trust that.

Take the first step.

Future you will be grateful that you did.
